Dear Vinted Support,
I am writing to strongly contest your recent message regarding my Chanel VIP bag (€300). You mentioned that, based on photos, the item “does not appear authentic” and therefore is “not obligated to be returned.” This conclusion is unacceptable and unprofessional.
Vinted cannot determine authenticity from photos alone. Proper verification must be carried out by qualified experts through the Vinted Verification Centre, not by visual judgment. My item was sold with full compliance to Vinted’s rules, described clearly as a Chanel VIP gift made of faux leather, and it successfully passed Vinted’s 24-hour listing review before being published.
I possess an official purchase invoice from a legal boutique in Rome, proving the item’s authenticity and legal purchase. According to Italian commercial law, shops are not permitted to sell counterfeit products — therefore, this item is legally verified. Ignoring such documentation is a serious oversight.
The buyer has a record of multiple false claims and is attempting to keep the item without payment. I have already provided a prepaid return label, and I insist that the buyer must return the original item as required by standard procedure.
I sold the bag for less than I paid only because my holiday begins on 27 October (flight ticket available if required). This sale was made in good faith and with transparency.
I urge Vinted to reconsider this unfair decision, uphold seller protection, and follow proper verification and return procedures. If Vinted allows the buyer to keep the item without return, I will have no choice but to file an official complaint with the authorities, attaching all purchase and communication records.
.My Chanel VIP bag was correctly listed (faux leather, VIP gift) and agree with buyer doesn’t pass verification as she is agree but it doesn’t mean it’s fake ! Also it passed Vinted’s 24-hour review before sale.
I hold an official purchase invoice from the boutique in Rome, proving it’s authentic and legally sold — Italian law forbids boutiques from selling counterfeit goods. Ignoring this evidence is unacceptable.
The buyer has a record of false claims and is refusing to return the item despite me providing a paid return label. The bag must be returned; no party has the right to keep it. I sold it below cost as I’m travelling on 27 Oct (flight proof available).
Please review this fairly — otherwise, I will file a formal legal complaint with full documentation.
